Minecraft Won't Start on OS X - How to Fix

When I had to unbreak the preview release of OS X

This post is a part of my blog paleontology series. I dug up and restored this post on 2025-08-11.

I guess I was trying out tech support style posts for a bit. Sadly the forum link has rotted and is not on the wayback machine.

If anyone just recently upgraded to OS X Lion (or has been running the Developer Preview *Cough Cough*) they may have found Dropbox works, but lacks finder integration. To fix this uninstall it and install this developer release.

It seems to be quite stable but keep in mind that it is a pre-release.
